From the beginning, Carolina Burglar & Fire Alarm has been a family owned and operated business, that has focused on giving back to local communities it services. Carolina Burglar & Fire Alarm instilling a sense of pride in its employees that is centered around the company’s commitment to hard work, reliability, and honesty.
Founded in 1974 by Jerry Rhodes, the company was started out of his garage in Sandy Springs, SC, until the business was established and could be moved to its current location along Clemson Blvd (Hwy 76) in 1982. In those early years, Jerry was
not only the owner/operator but also served as Installer, Salesperson, Secretary, and Service Technician. Jerry tirelessly invested countless hours ensuring the company would be successful.
In 2013, Jerry retired from daily involvement in the business and turned over ownership to his daughter, Christina Rhodes Wickliffe. And while Jerry’s role with the company has lessened, he has not stopped caring for the Carolina Burglar family. He is a frequent visitor to the office and maintains an active presence in the lives of many of the employees; some of which have been with the company for over 30 years.
In the years since Christina assumed ownership of Carolina Burglar, the company has continued to thrive under her leadership. Carolina Burglar currently employs 10 and is projected to add more employees over the next several years. She is committed to building Carolina Burglar into the premier security company for Georgia and the Carolinas and keeping the company in the family for many generations to come.
